While pregnancy can be a joyous time, it can also present some odd symptoms and fears.

From Jenna Dewan-Tatum‘s hormonal dreams, to Kim Kardashian‘s wacky food cravings, to Kristin Cavallari‘s delivery dilemma, let’s hear from 7 celebrity moms and their pregnancy confessions.

Kim Kardashian:

Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West welcomed their first child – daughter North West – on June 15. The first-time mom admitted that pregnancy wasn’t exactly a walk in the park.

“Being pregnant is not as easy as my sister [Kourtney Kardashian] made it look or as my mom [Kris Jenner] has made it look,” she admitted.

As for her pregnancy cravings? “I’m craving carrots and ranch dressing,” she said. “I used to love sweets, I used to love chocolate, can’t even eat chocolate!”

Jenna Dewan-Tatum:

Handsome couple Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum welcomed their first child – daughter Everly – on May 31. During her pregnancy, Jenna shared a wacky pregnancy dream.

“OK my fellow preggars ladies.. about these hormonal dreams,” she posted via Twitter. “Is it normal to fly on a magic carpet while presenting at Golden Globes?? Lol.”

Kristin Cavallari:

Kristin Cavallari‘s birth plan didn’t exactly go as she had hoped when it was time to deliver Camden, her first child with Jay Cutler.

“[Childbirth] hurt like a bitch and felt like period cramps, but 10 times worse,” Kristin said.

And when it came time to deliver her son, she didn’t want her football star hubby to see the birth. “I was like, ‘You’re going to be behind me. You’re not going to see anything,’” she said. “And the nurse was like, ‘Oh, no, no. He’s going to hold your leg. I was like, ‘Oh, no he’s not.’ She was like, ‘It’s different when it’s your own.’”

Snooki:

In her signature quirky style, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi gave graphic details of her son Lorenzo’s August 2012 birth.

“When my water broke, I thought it would be like [gushing],” she shared.

Snooki added: “But I was just like, peeing my pants every two seconds. I didn’t know what was going on! I couldn’t control it, and I was like ‘I think my water broke.’ I was in labor for 27 hours, but I didn’t feel anything because I got the epidural.”

Jessica Simpson:

New mom-of-two Jessica Simpson accidentally revealed the gender of her second baby – son Ace Knute – in March 2013.

“The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous,” Jessica quipped.

She added: “It’s a totally different pregnancy. I just feel awful, I’ve been vomiting,” said Jessica, also mom to 16-month-old daughter Maxwell with fiancé Eric Johnson.

Kristen Bell:

Star couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed their first child – daughter Lincoln – on March 28.

“I’ve got nothing to prove” by giving birth naturally, she joked in January. “I feel like, when I arrive at the hospital, I want a glass of whiskey, I want the epidural in my back and I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it’s over because I’ve seen the videos—and it looks terrifying.”

That being said, she loved pregnancy and said her “self-esteem has never been higher.”

“I look in the mirror and I think it’s the reverse body dysmorphia,” she added, “because I can understand what my shape is, but I see Brooke Shields. And it doesn’t make a lick of sense, but it’s something that the baby’s giving me hormonally makes me feel really giggly and happy.”

Megan Fox:

This is 40 star Megan Fox opened up about giving birth naturally to her son Noah Shannon.

“I was screaming for an epidural when Brian was driving me to the hospital because my water broke on its own,” the actress said of Noah’s September 27 birth. “It was level orange alert pain.”

With husband Brian Austin Green by her side, Megan (currently pregnant with the couple’s second child) said the pain was “horrific.”

“It hurts so bad,” she shared. “It was so intense. And I thought I was gonna be really tough and make it, I was gonna labor to like 8 cm . . . but the first contraction that I got was horrific!”

And it sounds like the pain left no time for beautifying pre-birth.

“I had wet hair so I was trying to blow dry my hair before I went to the hospital,” she laughed. “I didn’t want to go to the hospital with wet hair!”

So it’s no wonder that Hollywood has its fair share of blended families. From LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s crew, to Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady’s bunch, let’s take a look at 5 stepfamilies in Tinseltown.

◦   Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green:

Hot Hollywood couple Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are getting ready to welcome a sibling for Brian’s 10-year-old son Kassius later this year.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star said that his wife is an amazing stepmother to his son, whom he welcomed with ex Vanessa Marcil in March 2002.

“She is absolutely my better half in parenting,” Green said. “She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating – you know, she was 18 – she stepped in and took control. It’s unbelievable. At 18, I was like, ‘Hey, which club is open tonight? And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?’”

◦   Sara Evans & Jay Barker:

Country crooner Sara Evans has her hands full with a blended family of 7 children with husband Jay Barker.

The Anywhere singer opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about staying organized in their large family.

“It’s definitely a lot to keep track of [laughs]!,” she said. “I try to stay super organized with my schedule. My work schedule is crazy by itself, but when you add in 7 kids and their school activities, sports, Jay’s work, etc., it can be nuts. I have a calendar that I keep with me almost all the time to just stay on top of it all.”

So any chance for baby No. 8?

“We’ve definitely talked about it and would love to have a child together at some point,” she said. “Right now we’re so busy with 7 kids though!”

◦   Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer:

Anna Paquin and her True Blood costar husband Stephen Moyer are getting ready to welcome twins this fall.

And they’ll be adding to the brood! Anna is stepmom to Stephen’s two children – daughter Lilac, 10, and son Billy, 12 – from previous relationships.

“I love my kids beyond anything,” Stephen recently said. “They’re the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy, but that’s cool!”

◦   LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian:

Country crooner LeAnn Rimes is one of the most infamous stepmother’s in Hollywood. After being the alleged mistress in Eddie Cibrian and Brandi Glanville’s marriage, LeAnn and Eddie went on to wed in April 2011.

The Blue singer has often spoken about her role as “bonus mom” to Eddie and Brandi’s sons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5. And she admits she treats the boys “as if they are my own.”

“It’s not easy being a stepparent, taking on a mother or father role in your new blended family and household,” LeAnn said. “It can be incredibly intimidating…. As a parent you try everything in your power to make it easy on the kids, to make them feel like there’s more love than they could ever imagine, not less.”

And how does Brandi feel about these comments?

Though she’s comforted by the fact that her boys are loved, the reality TV star says she’s not exactly happy with everything LeAnn says and does when it comes to her kids.

“When she has a child of her own, she’ll understand how a lot of the things she says and does regarding my children can be construed as really inappropriate,” said Brandi.

◦   Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady:

Gisele Bündchen says she found out her then-boyfriend, football hunk Tom Brady, was expecting a baby with another woman when they were 2 1/2 months into their relationship. The handsome couple are now married and parents to 2-year-old son Benjamin, with their second child along the way.

Now 5-years-old, Tom’s first child, son Jack, is being raised by mom Bridget Moynahan, as well as by his football star father and supermodel stepmother.

“I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child,” Gisele said of Jack. “I feel it is, 100 percent. I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”

And being the classy lady that she is, Jack’s mom has only spoken respectful words about their stepfamily.

“I never made a comment about Gisele or Tom publicly. I have a relationship with these people on a daily basis,” Bridget said, adding, “My son has two loving parents and an extended family, whether it’s cousins or stepmothers or boyfriends. My son is surrounded by love.”
