So, your baby doesn’t seem to like the jar of bananas baby food you bought… don’t toss it…add it to your beauty regimen! This recipe for a homemade deep conditioning mask will have your hair saying “yummy”!

Bananas are rich in potassium, vitamins, carbohydrates and natural oils that help protect hairs natural elasticity, preventing split ends and breakage and they soften and add shine to dull dry hair. Bananas are great for the skin too! Use just the first two ingredients below for a wonderful facial mask.

Olive oil is truly a miracle ingredient. It’s great for everything from helping relieve constipation to moisturizing skin to relieving earaches! Honey is a humectant, which means that it holds onto water molecules. This makes honey really great for skin! For hair, honey helps smooth the cuticle so that it looks soft an shiny. Honey is also sweetly fragrant!

What you need:

1 jar of Bananas baby food
• 3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• 2 tablespoons of Honey

Directions:

First empty the jar of Banana baby food into a bowl, next add olive oil and mix, then a add honey and mix well. Mixture should be creamy, not runny. Apply mixture to unwashed hair, cover with a plastic cap and leave on for about an hour
to two hours. Rinse and voila! Your hair will smell great too! Tip: Be sure to wash out your shower real well after, the olive oil can make the tub pretty slippery!
