So it’s no wonder that Hollywood has its fair share of blended families. From LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s crew, to Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady’s bunch, let’s take a look at 5 stepfamilies in Tinseltown.

◦   Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green:

Hot Hollywood couple Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are getting ready to welcome a sibling for Brian’s 10-year-old son Kassius later this year.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star said that his wife is an amazing stepmother to his son, whom he welcomed with ex Vanessa Marcil in March 2002.

“She is absolutely my better half in parenting,” Green said. “She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating – you know, she was 18 – she stepped in and took control. It’s unbelievable. At 18, I was like, ‘Hey, which club is open tonight? And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?’”

◦   Sara Evans & Jay Barker:

Country crooner Sara Evans has her hands full with a blended family of 7 children with husband Jay Barker.

The Anywhere singer opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about staying organized in their large family.

“It’s definitely a lot to keep track of [laughs]!,” she said. “I try to stay super organized with my schedule. My work schedule is crazy by itself, but when you add in 7 kids and their school activities, sports, Jay’s work, etc., it can be nuts. I have a calendar that I keep with me almost all the time to just stay on top of it all.”

So any chance for baby No. 8?

“We’ve definitely talked about it and would love to have a child together at some point,” she said. “Right now we’re so busy with 7 kids though!”

◦   Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer:

Anna Paquin and her True Blood costar husband Stephen Moyer are getting ready to welcome twins this fall.

And they’ll be adding to the brood! Anna is stepmom to Stephen’s two children – daughter Lilac, 10, and son Billy, 12 – from previous relationships.

“I love my kids beyond anything,” Stephen recently said. “They’re the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy, but that’s cool!”

◦   LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian:

Country crooner LeAnn Rimes is one of the most infamous stepmother’s in Hollywood. After being the alleged mistress in Eddie Cibrian and Brandi Glanville’s marriage, LeAnn and Eddie went on to wed in April 2011.

The Blue singer has often spoken about her role as “bonus mom” to Eddie and Brandi’s sons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5. And she admits she treats the boys “as if they are my own.”

“It’s not easy being a stepparent, taking on a mother or father role in your new blended family and household,” LeAnn said. “It can be incredibly intimidating…. As a parent you try everything in your power to make it easy on the kids, to make them feel like there’s more love than they could ever imagine, not less.”

And how does Brandi feel about these comments?

Though she’s comforted by the fact that her boys are loved, the reality TV star says she’s not exactly happy with everything LeAnn says and does when it comes to her kids.

“When she has a child of her own, she’ll understand how a lot of the things she says and does regarding my children can be construed as really inappropriate,” said Brandi.

◦   Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady:

Gisele Bündchen says she found out her then-boyfriend, football hunk Tom Brady, was expecting a baby with another woman when they were 2 1/2 months into their relationship. The handsome couple are now married and parents to 2-year-old son Benjamin, with their second child along the way.

Now 5-years-old, Tom’s first child, son Jack, is being raised by mom Bridget Moynahan, as well as by his football star father and supermodel stepmother.

“I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child,” Gisele said of Jack. “I feel it is, 100 percent. I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”

And being the classy lady that she is, Jack’s mom has only spoken respectful words about their stepfamily.

“I never made a comment about Gisele or Tom publicly. I have a relationship with these people on a daily basis,” Bridget said, adding, “My son has two loving parents and an extended family, whether it’s cousins or stepmothers or boyfriends. My son is surrounded by love.”

◦   Alyson Hannigan:

American Pie star Alyson Hannigan and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, welcomed their second daughter, Keeva Jane,  on May 23. The Buffy alums are also parents to 3-year-old daughter Satyana.

Since welcoming baby Keeva, Alyson has talked about not losing the baby weight quickly enough for Tinseltown.

“I think by Hollywood standards I’m supposed to be in bikini shape now that my baby is 4 weeks old,” she playfully tweeted. “My workout goal: Food drops in lap, not on belly.”

Despite her woes, fans of the How I Met Your Mother star showed their support for “setting a good example” and not rushing to lose the baby weight.

Alyson replied, “I still haven’t lost all the weight from my first daughter. Oh well.”

◦   Hilary Duff:

Lizzie McGuire actress Hilary Duff and husband, hockey star Mike Comrie, welcomed their first child, son Luca, on March 20. The Disney darling recently said that she enjoyed eating during her pregnancy.

“My whole life you know I worked out and exercised and been in the public eye and always watched what I ate. This was like a vacation,” Hilary said of enjoying eating during pregnancy. “I had a blast. I wouldn’t go back and change it. I had a lot of fun.”

The new mom has also opened up about her postpartum weight loss.

“I’m not perfect, but I feel fantastic,” she said. “This is how it goes for most women – the weight doesn’t fall off overnight.”

The actress-singer, 24, added that she’s been exercising “a few” times a week, mixing spin classes with private training sessions.

She added that her hubby “doesn’t care” about her extra pregnancy weight, and added, “Even during my pregnancy he thought I was beautiful.”

◦   Gisele Bündchen:

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen and her husband, football star Tom Brady, welcomed their first child together, son Benjamin, on December 8, 2009.

The Brazilian beauty talked about regaining her figure almost instantly after Benjamin’s birth.

“I think it’s muscle memory,” Gisele said. “I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.”

◦   Molly Sims:

Actress Molly Sims and husband Scott Stuber welcomed their first child, son Brooks Alan, on June 19. The new mom recently opened up about her mission to lose the 50 pounds of baby weight that she gained during her first pregnancy.

“Eating during my pregnancy was easy, but losing the baby weight—that’s going to be a whole other story,” Molly wrote on MollySims.com. “As much as I tried to stick to a healthy diet and exercise routine while I was pregnant, I ended up gaining 50 pounds—so let’s just say I have my work cut out for me! But no matter what it takes, being in the best shape possible has always been very important to me. I’m more than willing to put in the work to get my pre-baby body back.”

◦   Gwen Stefani:

Rockers Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are parents to two sons – Kingston, 6, and Zuma, nearly 4. Five months after welcoming Kingston, Gwen talked about her postpartum weight loss.

“That’s been really hard,” she said of losing the weight. “But it’s almost gone. I’ve just been eating healthy,” she said, adding, “I cheat every day at least once.”

The uber-svelte No Doubt frontwoman has admitted to struggling with her weight and body image after having two children. She said that her current figure is “no miracle” and that it took eight months to lose the baby weight after the arrival of Zuma.

And even Gavin chimed in about the pressures on his wife to lose the baby weight under the limelight.

“Yeah, she does [feel under pressure to lose the weight fast], Gavin said. “I mean, she’s just so dedicated and she’s just amazing with that stuff (weight loss). It’s very hard because everyone’s so judged the whole time.”

Danica McKellar:

In reaction to TIME‘s controversial cover, The Wonder Years alum Danica McKellar said she’s still proudly breastfeeding her 20-month-old son Draco.

“Jamie Lynne Grumet breastfeeding her 3 yr old on Time Magazine’s cover is causing a fuss. @brochman says extended breastfeeding is more common than we think,” the mom to son Draco, said. “Not sure what else to say other than I’m 20 months into it and going strong…!”

 Hilary Duff:

Since welcoming her firstborn child, son Luca, in March, Hilary Duff can’t stop gushing about motherhood. While she initially found breastfeeding “tough,” it’s become a favorite time with her little guy.

“We’ve bonded a lot during feeding,” the new mom recently said. “It’s very, very special.”

The Lizze McGuire alum, 24, also talked to Celebrity Baby Scoop about working toward her breastfeeding goals.

“Yes, it’s like a lot of things you take on in life,” she said. “You have to experience it to understand. No one can do it for you.”

 Selma Blair:

Anger Management actress Selma Blair, 39, recently talked about breastfeeding her son Arthur, stating his nourishment is her first priority, regardless of who she offends.

“We all have nipples. I don’t care who I offend; my baby wants to eat,” Selma said. “If I can’t get a cover over me quick enough, so be it.”

She added that she’s easting well while providing breast milk for her baby.

“Nourishing myself correctly is very new to me, so I’m learning as well. It was important for me to be a real mom who loves her kid and needs to have more energy for herself and is trying to learn how to do this.”

Gisele Bündchen:

Gisele Bündchen made headlines with a controversial statement about making breastfeeding mandatory for all new moms. “I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,” the model mom said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

In a follow-up statement written on her blog, Gisele clarified her thoughts about breastfeeding and the impact caused by her comment.

“My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law,” she wrote. “It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best.”

 Alicia Silverstone:

Eco-friendly mama Alicia Silverstone welcomed her first child, son Bear Blu, with husband Christopher Jarecki last May. Over the past year, the new mom has written about nourishing her son on her blog The Kind Life. The Clueless star admitted breastfeeding can be painful at first, but the outcome can result in “insane feelings of ecstasy.”

“It can be [painful], but just at first,” Alicia wrote. “What I’ve been told is it’s important to have the bonding latch right away. Everyone I know who had pain in the beginning says how amazing it was after the first two weeks – that the insane feelings of ecstasy while baby nurses are the best ever, and that it’s so worth the baracuda jaws for two weeks. Also, I have seen and heard so much about how the baby, when first put on the chest immediately after birth, will crawl up to your nipple after a while and open its mouth like a little bird looking for the nipple. How cute and precious is that?”

Miranda Kerr:

Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, 28, and husband Orlando Bloom are parents to son Flynn, 16 months. “He’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” the new mom gushed of her beautiful baby.

The model mom has become an outspoken advocate for breastfeeding since welcoming her first child.

“I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can,” she said. “My breast milk will give our little Flynn the nutrition he needs for his continued healthy development and to all mums out there I am sure you will make the right choice for you and your baby.”

 Gwen Stefani:

Rockstar mama Gwen Stefani was seen breastfeeding her yongest son, then 3-month-old Zuma, on a park bench in Los Angeles, Calif. A few months later, the mom-of-two talked about how Zuma self-weaned during No Doubt’s reunion tour.

“I didn’t want him to [quit],” Gwen said. “It felt like a total rejection. It was really hormonal, and trying to stop in the middle of tour was insane.”

Salma Hayek:

On a goodwill trip to Sierra Leone in 2009, Salma Hayek famously breastfed a week-old infant whose mother was too malnourished to produce milk herself. The actress recalled the wet nurse experience.

“The baby was perfectly healthy, but the mother didn’t have milk,” Salma said. “He was very hungry. I was weaning Valentina [then 2-years-old], but I still had a lot of milk that I was pumping, so I breast-fed the baby,” she said, her voice dropping. “You should have seen his eyes. When he felt the nourishment, he immediately stopped crying.”

Salma says she was hoping to raise awareness that Sierra Leone has the highest infant mortality rate in the world. She went on to say, “I actually think my baby would be very proud to share her milk. And when she grows up I’m going to make sure she continues to be a generous, caring person.”

Years later, Salma continues to answer questions about acting as a wet nurse.

“If you have milk, you have milk, and if they’re hungry, they’re hungry,” she said. “I think it’s a beautiful thing, because motherhood is a very strong place for women to connect and understand each other.”

Jenna Elfman:

Whether it’s breastfeeding or eating organic or using eco-friendly cleaning products, Jenna Elfman makes every effort to give her sons Story, 4 1/2, and Easton, 2, a healthy start in life. The mom-of-two recently opened up about societal barriers to breastfeeding.

“There are familial barriers and institutional barriers [to breastfeeding],” Jenna said. “In my prenatal classes, breastfeeding was talked about for five minutes. It was like, Hold your boob like this, and I didn’t even know what she was talking about. And these were private lessons. My mom didn’t breast-feed me. My generation was all formula-fed mothers. The first time I saw someone breast-feed I was 11 or 12. And I was like, Whoa. I thought it was awesome, and I wanted to do that. It felt so right to me.”

Molly Sims:

Mom-to-be Molly Sims is getting “excited” to welcome her first child – a boy – in June. The Las Vegas star recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her hopes to breastfeed and nourish her baby with “liquid gold.”

“Yes, I’m hoping [to breastfeed]! I hope, hope, hope so much because it’s ‘liquid gold’ and it’s such a great bonding experience,” Molly said. “I’m really hoping that my milk comes in.
