Long before tween star Jaden Smith make martial arts popular in the remake of Karate Kid, children everywhere have been participating in karate.

And Tinseltown’s tots are no exception. From Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet, to Heidi Klum and Seal’s kids, to Britney Spears’ boys, let’s take a look at Hollywood’s karate kids.

We just spotted mom-of-three Jennifer Garner picking up her 6-year-old daughter Violet from karate class. The eldest Affleck kiddo looked so cute in her uniform.

We’ve seen Britney Spears taking her sweet sons Sean Preston and Jayden James to and from karate class.

Jessica Alba‘s elder daughter Honor was spotted in her karate outfit earlier this year. She looked so proud as she walked with the nanny after class.

We often see Mark Wahlberg picking up his son Michael from karate class in sunny California. What a cute father-son pair!

My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly was spotted with her adorable son Dezi after karate class last summer. We wonder if he’s kept up with martial arts training?

Michael Jackson‘s sons Prince and Blanket have been spotted leaving their karate lessons. Their sister Paris has also been photographed in her white uniform.

Although it’s been years, we used to see Ryan Philippe regularly taking his son Deacon, now 8, to and from karate class.

Rockstar parents Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were seen taking their elder son Kingston to karate class last summer. Not sure if we’ve seen him in his karate uniform since?

Heidi Klum seems to be forever dropping off and picking up all four of her kids – sons Henry andJohan and daughters Leni and Lou – at karate class. We even saw her oldest son receiving an award for his martial arts skills.

For many families, the back to school rush can be overwhelming and chaotic.

Some of our favorite celebrity moms are helping to alleviate some of that stress and anxiety by sharing their best advice. From Elisabeth Hasselbeck‘s G-Free snacks, to Bethenny Frankel‘s best bargains, to Brooke Burke-Charvet‘s must-haves, read some great back to school tips from Hollywood’s moms.

◦   Brooke Burke-Charvet:

Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke-Charvet and husband David Charvet are parents to four kids: Neriah, 12, Sierra, 10, Rain, 5, and Shaya, 4. And as the mom-of-four says, “This year will be my most challenging school year yet.” Read some of her best back to school tips from her blog ModernMom.

Back to school starts now in my house even though all four of my kids are returning at different times. This year will be my most challenging school year yet. Four kids in three different schools with four different drop-off and pick-up times.

Thankfully my youngest, Shaya, will still enjoy our beloved homeschool for two days a week. We decided to put him in a “regular” program three days a week so he’ll be with more kids as his sister is moving up to kindergarten.

I hate online paperwork and envy the parents with only one child. I literally have folders, separate file cabinets for each kid, their rosters, forms, sports and miscellaneous important documents. It’s a LOT to organize. Does anyone else feel that there are way too many orientations, meet-and-greets, pot lucks and social activities this month? Multiply it by four and you can imagine my schedule. Plus during BTS nights, I am divided in numerous classrooms and for SURE missing something.

I spent the day labeling backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles and clothes.

Here are some of my BTS MUST-HAVES. My kids love them all and it truly helps to have some go-to items to help you keep it together.

◦   Alison Sweeney:

Days of our Lives star Alison Sweeney is mom to son Ben, 7, and daughter Megan, 3. The Biggest Loser host is also a blogger and shared some of her best back to school fashion tips for the “stylin’ mom” on AlisonSweeney.com.

School is starting again, and that means meeting lots of new people, for your kids and you. I love attending back-to-school nights and open houses and other evening events at Ben’s school and Megan’s preschool because it’s a chance to learn more about their teachers and interact with their classmates’ parents.

When I get ready for something like that, I keep my outfit simple and comfortable, but I definitely get more dressed up than I would for school pickup or running around at the playground.

◦   Elisabeth Hasselbeck:

The View cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck is mom to three children: Grace, 7, Taylor, 5, and Isaiah, 3. Knowing first-hand how to manage Celiac disease, Elisabeth created ElisabethHasselbeck.com, a Gluten-Free lifestyle community. The mom-of-three shared some great back to school tips for the G-Free family.

Summer seemed to fly by and now it’s already time to start planning for back-to-school! I like to keep my kids healthy and energized throughout the school day by packing them nutritious, fun snacks in their lunchbox. These ideas are all gluten-free, so they’re perfect if you want yummy snacks for your G-free little ones or if you just want your kids to have some healthy food options throughout the day.

Rice cakes are a G-free go-to, but kids can find them a little plain. Add some apple butter for a delicious way to sweeten them up in a healthy way. Orgran Gluten Free Toasted Rice Crispibreads from Glutenfreely.com are a good option!

Although she’s a multi-millionaire, TV star Bethenny Frankel is a bargain hunter! Mom to 2-year-old daughter Bryn, Bethenny says she loves to get cute and inexpensive things for her little girl. And she’s sharing her best back to school bargain tips on Bethenny.com.

I’m a bargain shopper. I find the best bargains for myself so why wouldn’t I do the same for Bryn? It’s crazy to spend a lot of money on outfits that are going to get spilled on and grown out of in a matter of minutes.

Here are three helpful tips for snagging cute kids clothing for fall without overspending.

◦   Soleil Moon Frye:

Punky Brewster star Soleil Moon Frye is mom to daughters Poet, 7, and Jagger, 4. While the mom-of-two didn’t dole out the advice herself, she posted a helful back to school article on her blog MoonFrye.com.

Back to school is an exciting time. There’s lots of shopping to be done: New clothes, new shoes, new crayons, and new backpacks are all in order. As the beginning of school approaches, kids start to look forward to friends they might have missed over the summer. Yes, back to school is an exciting time.

But it can also be very stressful, and it is completely normal for kids to experience some back to school anxiety.

Getting a new teacher means adapting to a new teaching style and starting from scratch. For a child who struggles with transitions, this is a recipe for stress.
