Florida Keys Resort Launches Environmental Education Program

Just in time for summer vacation, Hawks Cay Resort has debuted a new Environmental Education Program for kids.  The only resort destination of its kind in the Florida Keys, Hawks Cay is known as one of the most family friendly resorts in the Southeast and its new curriculum-based program will take the resort camp experience to a new level.

The Environmental Education Program offers kids ages five to 12 – broken up by grade level – the chance to learn about the unique Florida Keys ecosystem and beyond with engaging topics that range from bugs to birds, sea creatures to creepy critters and even Florida’s wacky weather.  The daily sessions, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., are $60 per child.  Camp Hawks continues into an afternoon adventure themed program, which can be added for a full day experience at $90 and includes lunch and snack.

The new Camp Hawk programming rounds out the resort’s newly enhanced schedule of activities created by Hawk’s Cay Director of Resort Experience, a.k.a. The Fun Concierge.  A complete destination for families eager to escape to a flip-flop lifestyle, the resort offers nearly every activity above and below the water including dolphin experiences through its onsite Dolphin Connection facility.  The centerpiece of the resort for families is the newly renovated Coral Cay Activities & Adventures, home to the kids club and teen lounge and featuring a pirate ship pool and sports venues.
