Denim is a key staple to any wardrobe. It’s versatile, durable, comfortable, and seriously goes with everything. These are some my favorites key pieces I’m styling with now.
The Jacket: Style it with unexpected pieces and it will more chic then ever. I style mine with black leather and crop tops. If crop tops aren’t your thing try putting it with a minimal style dress.
1969 Jean jacket at Gap.com $69
Overalls- Once for kids and farmers, now for all. Overalls are the epitome of a relaxed look. Play them up by rolling up the legs to show off your ankles and slipping on some heels. It will be the perfect amount balance to the outfit
Blank Nyc Overall at Refinery29.com $101
The Pencil- Three months ago if someone asked me to wear a denim skirt the first thing that would have popped into mind was one of the mico mini’s I owned in high school that came from either Abercrombie or Hollister. Now, they’ve had a makeover and are super figure flattering. Throw on some smart looking flats and you’re out the door.
One Teaspoon Skirt at Reloveclothing.com $127
Flares- Flared jeans paired with the right top can really look really fresh. My go to is a silk top and tweed jacket to keep it sophisticated. Flares should fit ultra long and to where you can hardly see any shoe.
Frame Forever Karlie Flare at shopbop.com $239
The Shirt- If you don’t have a chambray denim button down, go buy one!! It will become one of your favorite and most versatile tops. If do already have one go for something a little more off the beaten path. Try a crop top or a tank top.
Rag and Bone Nicole Tank Top at Saks.com $143
