If you are from an urban area, there’s no way you can escape street art. This spontaneous and creative form of art is sometimes underappreciated, but online fashion retailer W Concept has put one street artist on center stage. Paul Richard, whose work can be seen on the sidewalks of Lower Manhattan and areas in Brooklyn, has teamed up with the site and recreated his art on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies. These abstract pieces are intriguing among the city streets, but will look even better hanging in your closet! Who knew looking chic could be so… easy?
T-shirts might single handedly be the most versatile items in your closet. Though they are easy items to just throw on, you can wear one t-shirt in a variety of different ways. Heels, sneakers, scarves, and clutches all can change the look of a t-shirt. The flexibility of a t-shirt paired with Paul Richard’s attention-grabbing street art is sure to be a conversation starter. Whether you’re at the park with the kids or grabbing lunch with friends, these t-shirts can easily give off that “effortlessly stylish” appeal.
Sweatshirts are perfect for layering. You can add a printed collared shirt under a sweatshirt to give your look a multidimensional feel, while also looking absolutely fabulous. Oversized sweatshirts can be structured with a skinny belt to accentuate the waist and create that hourglass shape. Try swapping the leggings for a fitted midi skirt to give your sweatshirt a sexy, sophisticated feel.
Who says you can’t dress up a hoodie? Hoodies can look amazing with more than just your yoga pants while still adding the ultimate comfort factor. The key to dressing up a hoodie is accessorizing. Earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets all play a key roll in making your hoodie pop. The athletic feel of the hoodie combined with stylish accessories make for an end result that is fashionably practical.
Sure you can just throw on your old college t-shirts and tattered shorts, but honestly when you workout in style, you feel much better! In Fall 2014, Cass Luxury Shapewear is collaborating with installation artist Caroline Lathan-Stiefel to create a workout line that you will want to wear in and out of the gym! With bold prints in neutral colors, you can even pair the pieces with items you already have in your closet. This way, if you have to stop by the store or get the kids on the way home from a power workout, you don’t have to look so… “gymy”.
